For several years, the idea of launching a microbrewery had germinated in Youenn's head.
In 2014, he trained with Olivier Maréchal in Douai, in Hauts-de-France. This is where it all begins! While continuing his trade, he built his own pico of 100 liters. He brews at home and creates his first beers: ERMINIG a blonde, GWADINIG an amber, LOARNIG a white.
It was in 2014 that the first sales began. Youenn first sells it to friends and individuals who come to his home to buy his famous craft beers. Then, he decides to do the summer market at Préhérel plage, and there, it was a great success.
The desire to fully pursue his passion, Youenn and his wife Sylvie decide to quit their respective jobs and become full-time brewers.
This is how in September 2018, the LA FREHELOISE brewery opened its doors in Fréhel. On this occasion, Youenn is expanding its brews and going from 100 liters to 1000 liters per brew.
This is where the recipes are created, brewed and packaged with passion.
