This week, the Fréheloise brewer took an initial stainless steel welding training (TIG method).
The goal is to acquire the basics of TIG welding to be able to carry out routine work, such as that of the open-source washer project of the Vieux-Singe micro-brewery.
Of course, calling in a professional could have been an alternative, and it's not about pretending to be a pro after a week.
But for these small jobs, internalizing a skill has many advantages:
– responsiveness, because I work at the pace that suits me
– flexibility, because I do exactly what I want (within the limits of my skills of course)
– cost, because this training is an investment that quickly pays for itself
I would like to thank Anouar Bentahar, from CFAI de Plérin, for his teaching skills and his ability to listen.
